Two methods to invite friends to Wikia are available.

Invite friends!
- This extension is enabled by default on Wikia.
Special:InviteSpecialPage allows you to either choose a list of friends taken from your contacts lists in Gmail or Yahoo mail (neither the email address nor password used are retained), or enter a list of email addresses to send invites to.
Special:InviteEmail[]
Invite friends!
- This extension is currently under development - it may be in beta testing on specific wikis, but may not be widely available for some time.
This page allows you to invite your friends to join your wiki via email. Visit Special:InviteEmail to try it out.
You can enter several comma separated email addresses and customize the main text of the email. Your "real name" (from your preferences page) will be filled in.
The email will be sent from the address community@wikia.com.
